Bylaws contain broad statements of our governance structure, goals, and the philosophy of our organization. Bylaws are adopted by the Representative Council and cannot be amended without a two-thirds vote and prior notice to the governing body.
Standing Rules are the procedural rules that direct the day-to-day operations of our organization. Standing Rules are adopted by the Representative Council and can be changed through the Executive Board with a majority vote from the Representative Council.
All Bylaws and Standing Rules are submitted to the California Teachers Association for review.
