Our Union Contract
Enforcing our Contract with CVESD
The grievance procedure (Article 7) is one tool of enforcing the Collective Bargaining Agreement (contract) and protecting the rights of members. It's most effective when school sites are well organized and willing to take action to demonstrate solidarity. Otherwise, administration can turn the grievance procedure into a means of dragging out or providing weak resolutions. Therefore, it is crucial to incorporate grievances into our larger organizing strategy of building union power.
